More Short Short Stories.

Flash fiction is, was, and will still continue to be hip.  In lieu of our recent post about the Belk Library’s short fiction contest (Link Here), we share with you a short story by famous author, Arthur C. Clarke.  Clarke is best known for penning the novel, 2001: A Space Odyssey, which went on to become a famous Stanley Kubrick movie as well.

In 1984, Clarke submitted a 31 word short story to Analog magazine.  His cover letter almost equaled the story in length saying: “This is the only short story I’ve written in ten years or so. I think you’ll agree that they don’t come much shorter.”
